The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District shared images on Twitter of six cars extensively damaged by a fire in the parking lot of the Antioch eBART Station on Thursday. The agency said that the preliminary investigation indicates that the May 11 blaze was likely started by someone trying to steal gas from vehicles. Gas theft is 'a dangerous and damaging undertaking,' the district said. As prices at the pump have risen in recent years, there have been reports of gas theft across the county.
